Please feel free to contact me  with any questions you may have.  When you contact...please ask specific questions.  Each of the dogs below have a description beside their photos that give you information about the dog.  I am sorry, but please do not send me a message saying, "please tell me about..." I have taken the time to give detailed descriptions about each dog.  I apologize, but I do not have the time to type out all of the information again for each person who contacts me.  Nonetheless, I will be MORE THAN HAPPY to answer any direct questions you may have!  Thank you so much for understanding!

Tavi - Chihuahua

Date Posted:

Approximate Age:

3 yrs

Gender:

Male

Tavi is a sweet but sometimes timid boy. He does not have any health problems and gets along well with other dogs.  Tavi is great with my husband and I.  Nevertheless, I do believe that Tavi would do best in a patient family with children 6 years of age or older.  Anyone who actually knows the Chihuahua breed knows that they can be rather "sensitive."  They react to your tone of voice along with your body language.  Tavi is for sure one of those Chihuahuas.  He was temporarily adopted and came back to us VERY shy and upset.  I was told nothing happened but I am not sure. We area always loving and patient with him.  When he wants to be by himself, we let him, when he wants to be lovey and in our lap we welcome him.  He is a very sweet boy!  He absolutely adores children and seems to trust and attach to them quicker than he does to adults. He has been trained to use a doggie door.  When with another dog, Tavi is more trusting.  He really should be  adopted into a home  that already has a small dog or to a family who is willing to adopt another of the "buddies" he is already with.  Tavi has been neutered and is up to date on all of his vaccinations, heartworm prevention and frontline.  Please contact me if you have any additional questions about Tavi or his adoption fees.

Boston  - Miniature Dachshund

Date Posted:

Approximate Age:

8 yrs

Gender:

Male

Boston is a sweet, smart, and happy boy.  He is such a lover.  He will sit by your side all day and then cuddle up with you at night.  He gets along well with other dogs and cats.  He is trained to use a doggie door. He is already neutered and had his teeth cleaned 7 months ago. He is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and frontline.  He would probably do best in a home with older children and/or adults.  The quick and unsuspecting movements that children of 2 - 5 make leave him somewhat nervous.  He really is a doll.

Smokey - Pom/Chi

Date Posted:

Approximate Age:

1 yr

Gender:

Male

Smokey was relinquished by his owners.  It was a hard decision for them but they believed that it would be better for him to be in home that had more time for him.  Smokey was raised with a Mini Aussie.  He is doing well with the other dogs and cats.  Smokey is house trained and crate trained.  He loves sleeping in bed with his owners.  I have been told that he should be placed in a home with older children.  His previous owner has a 6 year old son.  They told me that if the child would quickly approach or pester Smokey that he would "puppy check" the child by growling or nipping at the air.  From what I understand he never actually tried to bite the child.  Nonetheless, Smokey would probably be less stressed if he did not have to worry about small children.  Smokey will be sent home with his crate and blanket.
